My 7th and 8th grade classes are learning about inquiry. What better way to learn than to try and figure out a problem that seems impossible! 7th grade students were challenged to get 12 nails to balance on the head of one nail and my 8th graders mission was to cut an index card to fit around their body. It was a lot of fun watching them try out different ideas to try and solve the problem.

8th grade is currently learning about proper lab safety and tools we will be using. They have been practicing how to use some of the tools and reviewing how to take measurements in a rotation lab. I was glad to see how much they remembered from what they were taught last year. Great job! Here is a great video put to the stylings of Rythym, Rhyme, and Results with their Lab Safety Rap. If you want to, you can even download it on iTunes. I love it! |
